Custom cord?
Hey y'all, I need some help from someone that's better at electrical than I am. I need a cord that goes from the female end of a lightning cable to the male end of a mini USB. Not a long one. I was wondering if anyone here could make me one and mail it to me. I've found 2 online, but ones been out of stock for a while and the other is $50. It can't be hard to make and it should be pretty cheap. If y'all have any question just ask.

Try monoprice.com for inexpensive adaptors.

Your issue is that the lightning plug is Apple proprietary and they charge for licensing. It's not a standardization.

Just buy one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-USB...-/130540238331 and use it with the apple cord.

I guess I don't understand why you would need to plug the USB end of a lightning cable and have it turn into a a microusb....why wouldn't a normal micro usb cable work?
Maybe If you explain exactly what you need it for some ideas will flow. |

I linked the cord I need up in the first post. I need the lightning (the part that goes into the iphone) in a female version (which I have) and a male MINI usb (which I also have) I just was wondering if they would splice together before I cut two good cords. I ordered the cord that I linked in the first post, but the seller canceled my order this morning. I ordered a new radio and it doesnt have a usb port, but they sell an adaptor that goes from the back of the radio straight to a lightning cable, but I want to keep the usb port in my center console working instead of running a new cord to the glove box. On the back of the center console USB plug there is a female MINI usb plug so if I can convert the lightning cable coming off the radio into a MINI usb I can plug it into the stock usb plug in the center console and it will work like stock (essentially) This makes sense to me, but if you dont understand tell me which part and ill try and clarify.
