Test drives in Toronto region?

Does anyone know of a dealership offering one yet? I had one dealer say I could test one out - but only if I put down a deposit first.

A deposit!? Reaume Chevy in Windsor gave me a 2LT to test drive (all they had at the time) for 40 minutes by myself with no deposit and no heavy handed sales pitch. I realize Windsor is not convenient, but it goes to show that there are dealers in Ontario that are reasonable to deal with.

I was also at Wallace Chevy in Milton, looking at a 2SS, and I got the impression they would have given me a test drive if it hadn't been snowing out at the time.

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? Maybe it's an age thing. I'm in my mid 40's.

Sitting in one is precisely what has made me want a test drive, I have to see if I can live with the constricted sightlines or not.

I guess the only thing you need to decide is which one you feel more comfortable in, since the performance is the same in both vehicles, as far as the engine is concerned.

After ALL the horror stories with YOUR car, at that dealership, you keep going back there?

I know right?! They had one in stock
Salesman was great. However, I am weary of the dealership as always

But test driving it was great. It makes our Camaro look as spacious as Maybach !
Surprised how tight the SS was
Power was great, but I need to test drive a Stingray

I have to say, the appearence of them did not make me go wow with mine next to it. But its unfair to judge a stock 16 vs a modded 10

I bought my used 2014 Camaro 2ss from them and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I had payments come out of my account for the car I traded in more then 2 weeks after I drove the new/used car home. Bank said they didn't receive the check for the car from them until a week after that payment came out. Plus they are a good distance from me so I don't need to go back lol. But they did resolve the payment issue by reimbursing me for any nsf and overdraft fees

I also agree that the 5th Gens have a more appealing look to them (IMO), and yes the 6th Gen does feel tight, the leather seats are soft and cofortable though, I sat in one, but haven't driven one.

I'm sure the new technology in the 6th Gen surpasses the 5th Gen and you can see it in the interior, and probably in the mechanical section too; one must drive it to appreciate it's lighter weight.

Like with anything, time will tell, but not for me.

Went for a short drive today in a 2SS 6spd.
Huge thanks to Tony Ladas at New Roads Chevrolet.

Guys. This car if frickin' nutz. I never went past 4K rpm but it was impressive even in 4th giving it gas it just took off!

I have no idea how anyone can complain about room. I'm 6'4" and 255 lbs. I moved the seat back up straight a little. It goes to far back for me. No sunroof so a little over 3 fingers space. 2 to 3 inches

No MRC but the ride was firm and crazy responsive, no harshness or shakes. I loved it.

The clutching is butter. I loved it after the first 3 shifts. 40x better than the 2015 SS I drove. Easy and precise shifts.

I put some concerns I had about the car to rest with my short drive. It is everything I thought it would be.

Another thing, I turned my head to do a shoulder check....I can see fine. Whats the issue?
Out the back. ..well. That was to be expected and I have no concerns.

I can't wait.
