Sorry about your luck man but like everyone else said, you and the misses are ok and that's what it's important. I just went through this whole thing a couple months ago so I know what you're going through...
Me too, I estranged myself from my own twin brother for 3 years because he was a total booze hound. I did everything possible to help him but got nowhere, so I punched out, had to. We're good now, more importantly he is but yeah, I have NO tolerance for that nonsense, not anymore. I understand it's a disease and that it convinces you you don't have it but I still believe choice is more powerful than that... |

I'm glad we are both ok! As of right now it looks like its getting fixed not totaled and going to take 23 days or longer to fix. So I'm going to have withdrawals

Glad it's getting fixed. Maybe you were wanting for it to be totaled to get a new one? I Hope the drunk driver's insurance company is giving you a rental. Sure hope they fix it ASAP. Good luck!

But yes I was hoping it would be totaled as of right now I have to get a new rear bumper, quarter panel, everything on the door, new front fender and going to paint pretty much half the car. And they said they have to pretty going to have to get all new suspension and axle and stuff for the passenger side. |

Get it fixed and then trade.
That car will never be 100%....close but never 100%.

If it was my car I would (1) Have the shop explain how they were going to section the 1/4, and (2) also look for a used (LKQ) door assembly. Doors assembled at the factory are generally built better than what the shop ends up with. Also, around $10,000 IMO is a good START for those repairs.

Guys in my understanding you have to be in the seat for the airbags to go off. Just glad nobody was in the car.
