Very nice, thanks for sharing.I would like to do the mile, but since i still have the limiter on it would just be a waste. At my Silver State race last weekend they also have the mile, and half mile shoot out, some guy in a Lamborghini hit 230 in the mile.I hope to some day to hit the 200 mph mark

Very nice pic. It didn't long take to get there ,very smooth no shaking or excess vibration. I let off the gas ,I think the car wanted more.

I think float will depend on how level the surface is.
Went 158 mph a while back (pre- front splitter) and my Camaro SS was very stable. But I was on a perfectly flat surface (old military airport runway). |

You may be right. But You would stil feel a lightness in the wheel regardless of the road surface right? I mean lift is lift.

To me, standing on it for a full mile is amazing... These cars wind up so quickly... The quarter is fun, but being able to stand on it and just keep going is unreal... This march I was at about 180 between the 1/3rd and 1/2 mile, headed for 220+... dang turbo just up and quit on me... scattered pieces all over... The guys at the start line said they saw a big show of sparks and that was the end of that run.... Here is a bit of the carnage... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...6&d=1363985082 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...6&d=1364018619 And a few pics of the pass... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364147319 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364147319 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364147319 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364147319 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364147319 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364148025 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364148025 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1364148025

Have had my SS up to 141 mph. Felt fairly stable. Been 151 mph in a stock car at a Nascar Driving Experience at Chicagoland Speedway. That's the fastest I've ever drove.

Yeah, i know what you mean about standing in it.......somewhat.I did a couple high speed runs in my 2011 1LTRS,but this 1LE is in a different league, just as you are. That must be so freaking cool to be heading for 200+ |

We are starting over with bigger turbos, 76/75's with a mid frame center section, and an "H" cover. Should make as much power with less effort... Which of course will lead me to turn it up a bit more... I would be happy managing a 0 - 240 pass in the standing mile... Standing start, one mile, hit 240 mph... Oh yeah... I'll keep trying until then... Like I said earlier, if it was easy, everyone would do it...
