Design of CATs today do not reduce performance so leave them
In fact the 2012 Corvette now has 4 CATs and there is zero performance loss over pre 2012 LS3s.

Not pretending to be an expert, but isn't it still a filter that will become less efficient over time?

Since CATs used by nameplates by federal law have to be warranted 8 years and how close the PCM keeps the AFR to have cleaner exhausts they do not degrade as badly as older CAT designs.
What decreases CAT life more is placing CATs further downsteam along with 02 sensors where exhaust is cooler such as long tube headers and the PCM calibration not correcting properly for mods.

Look at cars like the ZR1 Corvette with all those CATs and still put out 640 HP, we get about 700 when tuning them and CATs are not limiting performance

No CAT's ? I was told you have a 50/50% of getting the tail Pipe Flame kit to work. If you have a turbo or SC it would work 100% from the V6.

I am in Florida also i was looking at this. just didn't want to wipe my warranty yet.
