Abnormal Rear Tire Wear 15' 1LE

Quick question. This car has 4000 miles on stock Goodyear Supercars. Car is a 1LE sold as certified pre-owned. What do the experts think about the wear on inside of rear tires? Although not pictured, both rears are about equal. This shot isn't the best but I will post better ones soon. They show a side by side comparison with the front tire. Right edge in pic is what I'm referring to. Rear tire is on the right. Is increased wear on the inside edges of the rears a sign of a bad alignment on a new car? Or is it typical of lots of burnouts? Or something else?

I had the same issue with my 15 1LE. I just thought it was from burnouts but idk. My fronts still look in great shape but the back are gone but the wear is the same wear pattern as yours

It is an alignment issue. Take a read through this, print it and get a dead nuts balls on accurate alignment from a shop willing to read what your bring in and willing to take their time to do it right.

Probably a stupid question - would there be any reasonable recourse via warranty? I'm sure if I read the fine print such things aren't covered. It just stinks to get a CPO car with 4000 miles home, get car up in the air, and see the rear tire wear. Thanks guys.

I seriously doubt it. Even if it was new, most service departments wouldn't cover it.

Alignment is covered up to I think 7,500 miles Talk to your dealer. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck!
I just hit 21000 miles on my stock 1LE tires. There is some road noise and a slight lack of traction compared to 10,000 miles, but the fun factor is still there in the corners too.

Toe may be the culprit here.

I got 33k out of my stock 1LE tires. They didn't start looking like that until I hit the 20k+ mark
