Tires need speed rated balancing. +1, "road force balancing"

The only vibration that I've had is from the road. Most of the time there is none at all, but some sections road (usually concrete), will generate a more noise than normal and some vibration.

One of my wheels is out of balance as well. Just have it balanced and be done with it. Might be covered under warranty (not sure).

Make sure the rear tires are equally inflated. The limited slip I think created a vibration when I had one of the rear tires replaced - it was a little less than 1/2 inch taller. The diff was constantly locking/ unlocking causing vibration through the car.

ROAD FORCE VARIATION. I BOUGHT 2 NEW GOOD YEARS FOR MY REAR, HAD INSTALLED, GOT VIBRATION 80-100 MPH, HAD ROAD FORCE MATCHED AND BALANCED AND OK AT THIS TIME.

I've noticed the same high speed vibration in my car. Will be getting a new set of tires soon and I'll see if that cures it.

Glad to know that I am not the only one with the highway speed vibration. I am seeing it at 1800-2000rpm, in 6th gear, above 65mph. My rear view mirror is shaking so bad that I can't use it. Car has only 1100 miles on it, and the dealer said they won't touch it until it has at least 1200 miles on it (tire brake in). They owe me a wheel and I will have them "road force balance" all four tires when I take it in. It sucks that I paid $35k+ for a car to have a problem as simple as tire balance issue, and that I'm not the only one.

LSXDoc,
They won't touch it till 1200 miles? Under what reason is that answered... Then GM should have had your warranty(if warranty is applicable) start at 1200 miles instead of when you bought it. LSXDoc...would you have bought the car with that problem brand new off the lot, of course not. They would have said, will have that fixed immediately. Nobody and I mean nobody should have to take that as an answer! Go to the regional rep., and whats the deal with them owing you a wheel(rim)?..do you have to wait until 1200 miles to get that. Hope you get this settled and that this dealer doesn't give issue's further down the road. I'm I missing something here?

Peace,
Brent

I have this issue with the mirror as well, though it is far from bad enough to not be able to use it. I get the same situation with the stereo when a very strong bass portion to the song. If I place my finger on the base, it stops so I assume it's a loose mirror. It may be a bit annoying, but nothing that bothers me very much.

No vibration ever. I have had 3 wheel sets and 7 sets of tires on my 1LE in 17K miles. Tons of them on a race track. I have never had or felt the need for a road force balance.

Any capable shop can balance tires......If the vibration is still there it is off to the dealer for them to figure out as it is driveline related..

Matt, the vibration that cause my rear view mirror to shake is something I can not feel. Does your rear view vibrate (slightly) at interstate speeds.
