I'll likely give it try and burn and tank full through and she how she burns. At least I know the holding tanks will be clean and fresh.

Shell 91 only. If I could consistently find ethanol-free gas I would only run that.
I do manage to keep my snowmobile ethanol-free at least.

I don't hate it. Never used it. Never seen it available. But I would prefer to eat corn, rather than put it in my gas tank.

On my SS I used any brand that had 93 and never had any issues or felt any difference. When I swapped out for the ZL1 and modified it, I've been getting a lot of knock and power loss with the different brands. The only brand I have been able to depend on is Chevron. All others I have been having to mix in some torco and KR goes away. I am tuned for 93 and always put 93.

I use shell 93 because we have a lot of them where Im at and it seems to be good to my car. However, I do sometimes go to chevron when my gas is low because it is closer to me. I don't really trust grocery store gas because a friend of mine did it once and had water in his tank. My town has one conoco gas station that sells ethanol free gas but they are always out after the weekend. smh
correct me if Im wrong but didnt chevron and texaco merge? as well as exxon and mobile too? |

Probably so... but I'm not. Murphy USA 93 has served me well and right now, with my WalMart MasterCard, it's $3.029/gallon. (Regular is $2.759)

I was at a BP station just last week when the tanker truck pulled in. So I went over to the driver and advised him of the debate of gas brands on the camaro forum. I asked him of only his experiences and not rumors of the difference in gas that he hauls. The drivers stated that in his experience that all the gas is the same. He stated that his company routes his truck each day to the same companies each day so that they only go to the those companies on that day. He also stated that when he delivers to Costco it comes out of the Shell tank. He also stated that one day he was going to drop off at BP but their tank was empty, so his boss called and advised the stations of this. The stations advised to bring something because they needed gas, he delivered gas that was from the Valero tank. So don't flame me for this but next time you see a tanker ask that driver of his experiences and see what he says.
