tpms sensor falls off strap on rear wheels

anybody got a better fix on how to secure the rubber valve stem to the strap style band that goes all around the wheel and secures the sensor through a hole in a bracket that mounts to the strap? Sensor falls out of the hole just on the rear wheels. twice mine have fallen off. I have three piece hennessy wheels. It's supercharged too thanks

Is there not a valve stem hole in the wheel the factory TPS can mount to?

Your sensor belongs on the valve steam. Why you get a band style sensors? Those are meant for early ford vehicles

There is a hole but unfortuantely they angled it at 45 degrees on the inner outer edge and makes contact with the rear park brake cables. I actually had the hole welded up on the right rear because and inverted valve stem failed and a screw tight style plugged seal failed. The hole was originally not exactly drilled round, but oval, causing sealing problems. Plus the park brake cable comes in closer contact on the right side then the left side. Nightmare getting this right. taking the tire on and off my custom wheels is nerve racking. just waiting for them to screw one up.

the location of the 90 degree valve stem is not in a good place for removing and reinstalling the tire per the shop who installed them. To answer your question they used straps on corvettes from the factory years ago. some custom wheels do have straps. The aftermarket straps are engineered poorly in securing the sensor. Might just try two sided sticky tape all around the wheel and removing the sensor from the stem and laying the strap over the sensor and tightening it down. The two sided tape would ensure slippage of the strap and help retain the sensor. but might have a problem calibrating it, because the stem is used as the antenna.

I see your point but i would just look somewhere else to have them installed. I have installed hundreds of aftermarket wheels and if there is a will there is a way. This is not a new problem. tell them to be careful and get it done right the first time. Good luck.

Forgeline makes a bracket for the TPMS that bolts into the wheel and places the sensor in the drop well. It leaves the sensor mounted to the valve stem so the car will read them and allow programming.
