Spare tire?

I've got an LS with stock wheels/tires and I don't like the thought of running around with just a can of goo and an air pump as my "spare" tire.

Has anyone come up with a good compact spare kit? (The dealer wants almost $500 for the aftermarket spare and related junk, I believe....NOT happening).

Or, am I better off just buying a takeoff LS wheel, buying another stock BFG and throwing the setup in the trunk with a scissor jack?

Yea, I might have to buy this. Does the spare fit on top of battery under carpet?

Good call, wasn't thinking about salvage yards.

I definitely want one from a car that was hit in front, lest I buy an oval.
