ZL1 wheel finish peeling?

2017 ZL1 here....Has anyone here had the clear coat start peeling on their stock wheels? This seems unacceptable for a car in this price range with 20k miles and only a few years old.

I've not seen it on a zl1 specifically but a few local guys have had their ss rims have a few issues. One was paint and all, not just clear coat.

This was an issue with the old ZL1s so it doesn't surprise me that it's happening on yours. The oem paint on these wheels isn't that good so you're probably better off getting them powder coated. Did they have a ceramic coating on them?

Are you using high pressure washers?

The clear coat on my wheels failed about two years in. It was absolutely attributable to all my tracking.

Dealer had them powder coated at no charge. I applied ceramic and they have been solid since.

I have not seen it peel but I have seen it become dull looking and only on a couple of heavy track use cars. I'm guess heat related
