ZL1 vs. The World
I'm not sure what.who Chevy is going after, but this thing is going to be a beast! I have no doubt Mustang is beat, so now is it time for imports? Audi, BMW, etc.? Can't wait to see the magazine reviews of this bad boy!

According to the guys on the Hellcat forums, this thing "won't beat a Hellcat", "the aero is ugly", and my favorite one, "the ZL1 copies a lot of things from Hellcat with the 6.2 l supercharged V8 and 10 speed auto". I hope they realize the aero is fully functional, the car is 800 lbs. lighter, has wider tires, and will run circles around a Hellcat (I still like the Hellcat, but the fanboys are stupid). Also I wonder how the ZL1 copied the Hellcat when the 2009 CTSV (LSA) and ZR1 (LS9) had a supercharged 6.2 way before and the LSA made its way into a ZL1 in 2012, 3 years before a Hellcat.

The ZL1 will most likely beat the current hellcat in every aspect you can imagine, except which car still looks like its 70's grandfather.

Looks like those of us who were estimating the ZL1 at 3,950lbs were pretty much spot on
4150-200=3,950. |

I won't even defend the ZL1. It's obvious that it is a superior machine. Only time will tell. It is always fun bringing back old posts by posting a video link that proves them worng. Usually they don't reply

GM has hit it out of the park again....looks amazing, interior especially...
I'm curious as to what GM will do for a future Z28 considering the lofty improvements of the new ZL1 from the outgoing one... The stock SS went on such a diet that I wonder if there will be enough fat to trim... How much lighter can they go and what kind of naturally aspirated solution will they go for? Perhaps a modified blower less version of the LT4?

With how heavily built this car is, and the track prowess they're touting on it, as well as the 1LE...
I don't think they're going to bring back the Z/28. There is just no real market anymore. |
