Last-Gen...and 1-of-1... LS7 trucks were for grins 'n giggles only.
On the "SS badge" deal, call your local GM dealer and, for less than 20 bucks, you can put 'em anything you like... I'm old enough to remember when a 250 cu. in. 6-cylinder full-size RWD Impala could be factory-ordered with the all-important SS package. sure did make the folks on Woodward Avenue nervous...with laughter... |

If GM builds a sport truck I'd much rather them build something to go up against this.

It's too bad they didn't build this. My father would have been all over it. He is a Short bodied full size truck guy. He doesn't want a long bed or a long cab. He was looking at the Silverado SS in 2006 and was saddened that it only came in extended cab long bed. He ended up getting the Trailblazer SS. He figured at least it was the same size as a standard cab, short box and it had more power than the Silverado SS.

I like the raptors and everything but I'd be steered away from them with their frame issues.

I mean let's be honest, did you even read up on how these "issues" happened? Or are you just regurgitating 3rd hand internet forum info?

It would be cool if they did but they need it to be better than the last one. That one didn't deserve the name or price tag. A 5.3 short wide bed single cab was faster than that truck. I remember during that time they were putting the SS name plate on everything and most of those cars didn't deserve the badge.

Caprice? Sure. Impala? Alright. Monte? Ok. But then there were Silverado The Cobalts HHR TB S10 SSR Malibu...and even the MAXX got SS badges There are probably others but I don't recall them all. They did go a little overboard.
