I got something last week, but cant remember what it was mailing or email. I do remember it implied I was in eminent danger about to die in a fiery explosion if I didn't hurry to the nearest dealer immediately.

I've got a collection going of the postcards they've sent about the key recall. I called and told them I wasn't having it done and told the local dealership I wasn't having it done, but the cards keep coming. Waste of time. Not sure why they don't let you opt out and save themselves the cost. Had a recall on my Tacoma years ago to raise the height of the gas pedal because some dopes out there were double stacking floor mats and surprise!, it sometimes caused their accelerator to stick. I just told Toyota I was smart enough not to put multiple layers of floor mats down and that was the end of it. No more recall notices. Its not that tough and especially moronic that Chevy is hell-bent on doing away with switchblade type keys when there are other cars out there with this type and no one feels the need to replace them. Leave it alone Chevy!

Again, go to the service department of your local dealership and sign the opt out paperwork. I did it long ago. They haven't contacted me since.
