Over/under 200mph
So I was a little bored and decided to do math. If the c7 can come in at around 3100lb, has a cd a few pts under 3, has hp on the high side of the 400's and if that otherwise useless 7th gear puts the peak of the hp curve where it needs to be this car will hit 2 bills. Narrower tires, smaller cross section, lower drag... Just wanted to say it first, not saying it might happen or I hope it happens, just saying if it was an engineering goal it's perfectly attainable. 30mpg/200mph would be quite the throwing of the gauntlet.

I doubt it, I say 190's the gearing is similar to the C6, 6th/7th are purely overdrive gears.

Oh...so you say it only does 190 mph and gets 28 mpg??? Eh, I'll pass and get the Camry, it can get 31 mpg.

If I'm reading correctly, the C7 should have the same bottom 4 gears as the current GS so think it'll be held to under 200. Even though it's probably slicker from an aero sense, the spoiler is a drag and 450 hp is probably not enough to push it all the way over 200. Some members over on CF were whining that their Z06s wouldn't get over 176 at Talladega. Not sure you could find too many places to run faster than that.........
