Track setting on instrument cluster
Question about the track setting on the instrument cluster. This is the display I use all the time. There are a series of gray dots on the top of this display (see photo). I believe the owners manual call these "shift lights". Tonight for the first time, I saw the dots on the far left and far right, light up green for a moment. The car had only been running for a few minutes and I rev'd it pretty good when these lights came on. Does anyone know what these lights really indicate? There are ten of them. What determines when they light up and how many?

You are correct. They are shift lights.
Romp on it and they will light up often.

Yep, they're shift lights. I'm not sure of the rpms any pair of lights comes on at, but the first ones are green, then as you approach redline, the next couple are amber, and the inner most are red, which should be just a few hundred rpms under redline. The entire line should flash when you hit redline, if its anything like similar setups I've seen. Never have hit the redline in my car - yet! So I can't say they will flash for certain.
