I saw it had Michelins in pictures, I asked and the throttle house guys said it was ran with the oem's.

Also just saw this on facebook, looks like the ZLE A10 can still win from a dig on un prepped surface, they didn't need to swap out to a normal ZL1 haha.

I also agree with the ZLE used for the comparison was on regular alignment and no added camber or track alignment which could also "bridge the gap" even if fresher tires were used on the GT500. Overall ZL1 ftw and thats coming from a previous S550 owner.

What about the exhaust? It looks after market to me. When they show the regular zl1 during the drag race the tips are different. Did they say anything about that? Also the only time they show the Goodyear’s it’s with the back tires, never the front.

Was that the same throttle house guys and cars? I'm not too surprised, in a half mile it'll hey killed but quarter mile zle and zl1 are about the same.

I'm sure they did a lot of video and things with the Michelins but saved the good tires for the hot laps. They didn't have tons to tires to burn up for all the filming and shenanigans... I didn't ask about the exhaust didn't notice, just the sucky Michelin ps4s.

I agree about the tires, more curious about the exhaust. Maybe they can chime in and clear things up a bit?

Again, at time stamp 6:57 and 7:14 you see the stock Goodyears on the front and back.

That exhaust looks stock. On the ZLE those look like stock tips. On the Blue ZL1 you can see the length of the stock suitcase muffler at time stamp 16:23.

There is nothing to indicate that the ZL1 is modified or altered.

They said the tires were as fresh as they could be, not brand new fresh.

That might change on the strip though. Idk of any 10.6 or 10.7 GTs. On the streets obviously the GT dominates as the 500k car should.

Video doesn’t make much sense unless that was a modified zl1. The GT500 is out a car or so and the zl1 walks by??

Or the 500 was still struggling for traction, or maybe the guy cant drive. According to some an automatic is a no brainer even a monkey can send down the strip, but there are other variables that would cause it to lose.

Why does there need to be an excuse when the GT500 loses? It is more than obvious that the 500 sucks whenever it has anything less than phenomenal traction and conditions. In that environment it won't have anything to take advantage of. Therefore it will have to wait until it actually gets traction before it can catch up. By then you're going north of 120 MPH.

Not for nothin but even on a prepped surface that car has issues. I do not see what is soo hard to understand. It's like people thought that just anyone would be able to buy one and go to the track and run mid 10s off the rip. Not happenin.
