I think the SLP hood is non functional. If its made by who I think its made by, you will like the quality of the MPD1 hood by far. Also MPD1 "Z Force" is fully functional ram air along with heat extractors

In the same family as the "Z Force" is the MPD1 "Force 5" hood

Thanks for the response. I've heard great reviews about the quality of your product. Do you paint and ship? PM me please.

I found this pic on the internet. Same color, grille and emblem as mine. I just think it needs the close out panel for the factory faux scoop, as not to conflict with the functional MPD1. I need something like this for my f.i.

The SLP that was for sale was not the same hood they used on the ZL cars and I didn't like it as much. The Z force was close to the SLP ZL hood and that was why I ordered it and very happy with it!

I put the SLP close out panel but still want to get a ZL1 bumper one day.

Thanks for your feedback. I like this hood style as it is aggressive, yet clean looking and has that 60's retro look.

Eric,
Are either of the "Z Force" or "Force 5" hoods strong enough for the reverse hood kits made by Halo? From what I have read somewhere, the hoods need to be reinforced where the reverse hood kit attaches to it. There are some aftermarket hoods out that will work with the reverse kit. I just don't know which hoods will work with it. This question is out there for anyone that can answer it.

Nice hood. Car looks great. These hood decisions are getting more difficult. VIS, MPD, SLP, maybe an oem ZL1 hood.

I would never recommend a reverse hood kit. The cons far out weigh the pros of having one. Anyone who is at all picky about how their hood fits and functions goes back to the conventional hinge setup

But yes, it is plenty strong if you decide to go that route. And if you send me the hinge kit while I build your hood I will make sure that it can be attached properly

I always say" I don't paint much anymore" but I just finished this Nickey Stinger hood for the guy that does some amazing artwork for me.

I wished it was a MPD1 hood because it took a lot of body work and a total of 5 priming and block sanding sessions to get it to look this good.
