There's not a damn thing wrong with that V6, with well over 300 HP it's nothing to balk at, hell there was a day when it was impressive that the C4 Corvette came out with 300 HP.

I have a 2SS and we're currently car shopping for a "daily driver" that gets decent mileage but which is still within a cool factor (I don't drive stuff that's not). We thought maybe adding a V6 Camaro would be the way to go - still a great car and better gas consumption for running around town in.

Upon test driving some, however, we just can't do it. There is such a huge let down and even my wife was like, "Let's get out of this thing."

That said, I would never get in someone's car and behave that way. It's a personal preference and certainly not something you'd slight someone else about. I can see how she might feel the difference in the two, but for her to go on about it seems rather silly.

"God i hope it doesn't rain. We'll die on those stupid rubber band tires!"
"OH - MY - GOD! YOU HAVE AN OLD LADY AUTOMATIC? BAHAHAHA!"

Uh. I hate people like that. I always find something nice to say about somebody's car, even my brother in law's V6 Mustang. Anything I own could be taken from me at any time and I'm blessed to have what I've got. No need to down anybody else's ride. And like others have said a fifth gen V6 is still a Camaro and a hell of a car. I would have killed for one to replace my V6 fourth gen that I've been driving over 12 years.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Simply put, projection, insecurity and unhappiness. She uses her car to feel more secure about herself, and insulting your car to make herself feel more secure and happy shows how unfulfilled she really feels. In the end, she has a much deeper problem that is being projected on your car that needs to be addressed.
