If the stang is an auto, I'd give to him. He's probably making no less than 600 whp so you're going to have your hands full.

So even if you have an aggressive race tune to use, his will probably make more of a difference. You have more hp and tq but he has a lighter vehicle (yes we all know this). And if I'm seeing things correctly, you said his best time is a 10.9 on DRs and mid to low 11s on streets while yours is a 12.4 with your current set-up. Is your new set-up gonna give you a 1-1.5 second drop in the quarter? Is it possible that he can safely pulley down or add some other induction or exhaust mod to get a bit more out of his set-up?
Well I'm going with bushings,gears,heads/can,more displacement, more compression, and lighter wheels(when running on drag radials) he's keeping everything the same his wife is expecting so he has to hold back on modding lol

he's a manual and isn't the best driver but he isn't bad either I would give it to him as well if I was a spectator just for the simple fact he is f/I he also strips his car seats when he runs but against me he is keeping them in for a true street look.

I've been in a new Shelby GT 500, acceleration from 0-100 mph is brutal, however, 1st to 2nd shift was stiff and relatively slow. Looks like you have your trans set-up very good, I'd put money on you for the win based upon proper tune and shift speed.

If traction was equal I would say you would have a faster et with him having a higher mph. Auto vs Stick isn't a fair fight when drag racing. It's much harder to hook with a stick especially at those powers levels in street tires.

Thanks for the win lol Shawn at lethal is doing the tune since matt has been a bit busy so I'm pretty sure it would be pretty spot on as far as tuning.

Especially with a 3500+ stall

I have to agree on that I might have him on the street tires run and he might get me once the drag radials come on.

The GT500 uses a Tremec TR-6060 while the GT uses a Getrag MT-82. Both are bruisers (recent MT-82) but gearing between the two is quite different.

TR-6060 gear ratios:
1st 2.97
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.74
6th 0.50

MT-82 gear ratios:
1st 3.66
2nd 2.43
3rd 1.69
4th 1.32
5th 1.00
6th 0.65

Automatic:
1st 4.17
2nd 2.34
3rd 1.52
4th 1.14
5th 0.87
6th 0.69

In any case you guys are going to kill a whole lot of PZeros if you're still on stock rubber that is.

Your engine set-up sounds good...but you're still up against forced induction. FI by itself can do everything that all your mods together can do and more. His only limitation is his internals. You limitations are soo much more because you are NA. There is only soo much cam, heads, displacement, and compression you can do. And they can only do soo much. And he could push his stock short block even further if he adds meth. You might get him if you are a significantly better driver. And since his car is a manual and yours is an auto (I didn't take that into account before) you should be able to defeat him. A roll-on might be a different story tho.

This is a video I made of us two running before any mods were done to our cars he is the white 5.0. This is just more of an idea of how good of a driver he is.
