A little over 7 years and when it went it was like something out of Disneys Haunted Mansion.

There’s two big factors for longer battery life with these. First is the battery being mounted in the trunk. Heat kills batteries, and this takes them away from the engine heat.

Second is computer controlled charging system on cars nowadays. This definitely extends battery life in cars nowadays.

LESS THAN TWO YEARS! And batteries are not covered under warranty.

5 years going on my 1le not a DD. Sits on a battery tender pretty much 24/7 or it would be done no question.

2011 Silverado is on it's 4th
2015 Escalade is on #3 already
2012 Altima SR #1 lasted until last year
2003 Mach 1 lasted over 13 yrs

Those "smart" alternators are garbage btw.

Lasted me 5 years, but I drive it maybe 6k miles a year and it is a weekend warrior. I upgraded to an AGM battery and it has been great.

Somehow still on the original battery! Early model 2010 SS with 28,000 miles on it. Cranks just fine in these hard Michigan winter's while the car's in storage too

After a lot of research it seems they are all pretty generic nowadays.
Even the yellow and red top batteries were bought out and are not like the days of yore.

Y'all are lucky, because here in the Arizona desert batteries last up to 3 years under the hood, up to 5 years in the trunk. Mine is garaged, so it's not out in the heat much outside of car shows or racing.

There are only 3 major car battery manufacturers. So almost all the car batteries out there are made by the same people. I don’t think it really matters what brand sticker is on the outside.
