2014 Stingray Interior Questions with Photos

Was just at the CNE and to my surprise GM had a booth there with a Stingray! Had the top off, you were allowed to sit in it and all. Only problem is it brought some questions to mind especially since my order is being finalized tomorrow! Hopefully the pictures show you enough to help explain what I'm asking.

The carbon fibre interior trim, is that what is shown in my photo? Has anyone seen the standard dash, is this one of those must options because a 1LT standard dash has the look of real cheap plastic for instance? Can't find a proper photo that isn't CG.

Also, where does the suede A pillars come into play. That isn't part of the suede trim package because the doors and such did not have suede on this vehicle. Anyone seen the A pillars without the suede, look alright?

Lastly, the microfiber inserts option for the seats, does it look better? Why choose that over full leather?

Thanks in advance

The CF trim is optional. The standard dash plastic is just that, black plastic.

Have you seen it? Does it look alright or is the CF totally worth it?

Also do you happen to have a pic of the standard dash?

There's a photo here. One has the CF trim, and the other is the standard dash.

Honestly it's not horrible but the CF looks much better.

Anyone remember how much the CF option? I am getting the LT3 but I don't think that includes it.

On the microfiber inserts, I would personally only choose them if I wanted better seat grip for track use. The sueded areas are better for not sliding around. I think leather looks better and would wear better.

MF is pretty tough stuff - a friend has a S4 with alcantara and it's looking as new 2-3 years later. Would definitely be nicer on the track though. Was going to skip the CF dash but after looking at several pics (including those above, thnx) it is moving into "WTF not" territory. Seems like it seriously improves the look of the dash and since you're going to be spending most of your time looking at it, then it probably is well worth the extra grand.

Thanks for the link FenwickHockey65

I haven't seen the standard dash until now. I hear what you're saying it doesn't look as cheap as a chevy cobalt but the CF does look pretty sharp.

I wonder if I should get in touch with my dealer and have him change my order? Is that possible and just a pain in the ass or can it not be done since the order is in?

If you have ordered the 1LT trim level you cannot order the suede inserts unfortunately. In addition to grip, they have the added advantage of not getting as hot in the summer or feeling as cold in the winter.

OP - Sending you a PM.
