2018 2SS 1LE ordering info - Page 2

I just went to a Chevy dealer here in Fort Worth. Built my 2018 Hyper Blue 2SS 1LE. I added a couple of extras, & the cost is right around $50k, but my wife is a teacher, so they gave us almost $1k off. I hope to talk them down a lil more once the car arrives. It should be here around the end of December. Gonna be a long 2 months.

Looks like Costco price is actual invoice, a little better than a GM supplier code that someone offered. Almost 49K even (like 49,040 or similar) for 1LE CF5 sunroof RIK black emblems SLN strut tower brace and VAV all Wx mats. One of the keys here in AK is dealers vastly inflate prices because we don’t have sales tax and it’s a captive audience for a large part. So they jack the price up so you can’t go to Seattle and ship one up for far less.

Also that didn't include the $700 costco cash card that comes with the deal. The salesperson said there might be additional rebates/offers through costco, but I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed for that part of it, but being able to get the car for 49K, really 48.3, in AK is pretty unheard of, as like I said, they generally inflate the numbers significantly around here. Salesperson was a little confused by the 2SS build though, since it's not on the website. I've already had two separate dealers put these codes through to see if they work, so I know they do, and the costco site got updated to include the 1LE with the 2SS just a couple days ago, so they used that for the build worksheet. I've got copies of everything so I don't anticipate any problems. Was the first car the salesperson has "ordered" though, so that probably accounts for it.

Interesting, I didn't know Costco did deals on these. They do better than the GM Supplier discount? The website just mentions the supplier discount.

That’s awesome James! How soon till you get it? I like the white. It looks sharp with the black spoiler, splitter, hood, & rear view mirrors.

Well, they said "it's basically the same thing", but I had someone else run the supplier discount and it was a few hundred more, add the costco cash card that comes with the deal and that's about a thousand cheaper. So yeah, it would appear better. I don't know if the "additional costco discounts" part is BS, but I know this is usually a lot better than we can do up here in AK and there's no negotiating required to get it.

Spoke to my dealer yesterday. He said they didn’t have the allocation this week, but was going to ask for it anyway (I’m trying to learn how their allocation system works. Been reading online & in other forums on here). If he doesn’t get it, we’ll shoot for next week.
