Feet Only Vent

This is going to sound like I'm on drugs or something but.... When I turn my air vents to feet only (I do this when I have the top down and when it's hot outside) it gets really cool like it turns on the air conditioner. I turn the fan up a notch so the information comes up on the display and it says " Air Conditioner Off". Has anyone one else experienced this?

Are you sure it isn't on foot well and defrost? That will turn the AC on.

Nope. I read on on another forum that this is the way it works! Feet only setting turns the A/C on! You would think the manual would state this! Oh well learned something new.

I wonder if it is something with the fact that the top is down? Does it only do it with the top down? Or does it always work that way?

I have a 15 Z51 Coupe and it does the same thing, Only lower vent selected nothing else.

Also note that if you have the temperature dial set to "LO" the a/c compressor will run, regardless of what mode the system is set at.
