Becky, you previously posted that a VIN number with 38985, or something close to that, meant it was the 38,985th car built. I was told that in 2014 there were about 21,000 built in 2014. The two don't match??

That 21000 figure is Stingrays built starting January 1, 2014. It's not referring to the number of '14 model year cars but the number of cars built in the current calendar year.
