usually it's 4ft increments...Construction class went in one ear, and out the other...but I vaguely remember this....however, some builders/designers decide to step outside the box...I've got a 7ft basement - and (I think) a 9ft 2nd floor...so,

I still don't get how they come to claim them as being Lamborghini style doors... no Lamborghini has doors that open that way.... |

It's extremely similar to Lamborghini doors, hence 'Lamborghini STYLE doors'. Key word is 'style'. |

If a car is made w/out lambo doors, it is not specifically designed to open upward...it's designed to open outward. Therefore, the door (when modified) still has to open outward and then upward to clear the top leading edge of the door from the roof. It can't go straight up...has to go out and up, right?
Whereas the true style lambo doors are built from day one to immediately open upward. None of the out and then up stuff. Even if the Camaro had to have out and up "lambo" style doors, I'd like to see how it looks, see the clearance and ease of trying to get in, and get an all around feel for them. It might not look that bad at all. I kinda have a feeling on how they'd look w/ Tformers and all... |

I plan on swapping the exhaust...depending on what is sounds like off the shelf. Possibly some bigger rims if they don't offer as an option. Other than that I'll be stripping my system out of my caprice and implanting the subs and amps in the cam. Speakers possibly if they fit.....if not...guess im going shopping!

Wife says "no mods" until the warranty expires, but it will get an exhaust (Flowmaster mufflers and DMH electric cutouts) and probably some KOH wheels in the meantime. After that ... the sky's the limit -- probably start with a Procharger supercharger and go from there.

I'm excited to see what GM offers in the stereo area....types of speakers...radio/mp3, etc functions. I already plan on adding my JL subs w/ JL amp. I sure hope the highs are good. The factory highs in the current SS are pretty good. I put Polks in a while back only to take them back out.
I'd love to toss a procharger on. But, we're going to need that second income once the wife goes back to work to even *think* about doing anything like that. I think the factory exhaust is going to be pretty sweet as well considering all the time and effort GM claims to have put into the concepts. Only addition there...possibly headers if I can. |

I have a list lined up of what I'd like to do but it's all happenening after warranty wears off as it requires some elbow grease on my part.

My first Mods
The first trip is to Summit Racing for the Flowmaster series 40 exhaust. I've heard it on line and in a couple of other cars and it is amazing! After that it is on to the wheels and tires. I want the Craggar SS with the black spokes and chrome lip, up to date but still classic muscle. The windows are next with 30-40% all the way around. I'll wait to hear the audio system before I get into that end. I think I'll leave the engine stock untill the warenty expires as well. One thing I was thinking about is Lamborghini door conversion. I know it sounds a little lame but I saw it on a new Mustang and I thinked it looked pretty EFN cool. I'm still up int the air about that though but it would truly make it unique.
