Interesting article. In my opinion if Chevy wants a mid-engined supercar, don't call it Corvette. Every Corvette since 1953 has been a FR drivetrain. If they change it to MR they would be ruining the very soul of the Corvette.

AND

several GM insiders (powertrain), all seem to agree that the LS7 lifespan is growing increasingly short, so why would they put it in the new Vette?

just thinking out loud...

i read somewhere they were planning on putting the LS3 into the 08 vettes. then of course a detuned version into the new camaro.

Right you are Dragon...thanks for pointing that out....I didn't even notice it. The site just put it up there (apparently on slow news days they go back and re-run stories), so I just assumed it was news.

Sorry everyone, this wasn't really much of an update. I'll try to pay better attention to that from now on.
