Lack of allocation most likely.
There are 3100 Chevy dealers and currently 900 have allocation. Soon another 1000 or so will be given allocation and at the same time the initial 900 dealers will be given additional numbers. I predict the Z51 option will continue on limited constraint for the balance of the model year and if one desires that option and wants to stay with their dealer then planning should include waiting until the 2015 model year introduction. !0 is good, indicates in the top third of the original 900 dealers.
As to if I am wrong about the Z51 constraint: I can not see the future but can remember the past, so I could very well be wrong. Still, if the constraint is 50% than almost anyone wanting a Z51 will have a good chance at getting it. Laborsmith |

I've had allocation #1 out of Camp in Spokane, WA for months. I'm still kicking it at 1100...
Granted I got in knowing late availablity on the comp sport seats. Then the CF roofs, now the Z51's... I'm just hoping to have my C7 before spring arrives (and autocross).

Patience is key...I placed my order April 29, 2013 and my car was delivered September 25th, 2013....talk about waiting...and I was fortunate to get my car extremely early! It'll come don't worry

Correct me if I’m wrong but like Laborsmith stated it’s most likely that your dealer doesn’t have the allocation, and this is why; even if there are constraints you should still move from 1100 to 2000 meaning the order has been accepted by GM, however it won’t go to 3000 (accepted by production) until the constraints are lifted for what you have ordered. My order was placed back in July, within one day my order went from 1100 to 2000 even thou there was a constraint that affected my order, when the constraint was lifted I went to 3000.

If your dealer does not have an open allocation to enter your order into GM's Order Workbench, then you will sit stagnantly at 1100 until they finally have an available allocation for you. The dealership typically inputs a customer's order every Tuesday as long as they have an available open allocation that week. |

My dealer had a allocation for me on the 3rd. But he couldn't use it for a Z51 car. He had to order a base car, or lose the allocation.

Now once an allocation is used then accepted for production, that does not mean it will be built "sooner." Production is scheduled at the plant and I am only aware of general considerations as to what order is built first etc. But my point: allocation is truly a use it or lose it proposition. And that loss is not just for the current model year; it resonates down through future model years for as long as that vehicle line continues. Laborsmith |

^ Well said.
There's alot of intricacies & nuances in the allocation, ordering and production schedule processes... unfortunately, often of which are to us, the consumers, as we are experiencing first hand now. |
