Would you buy this Z28 if you were in my shoes? Updated.
The Z28 is a 2015, it has all the options. 58 miles, never titled. 61,500$ is there supposed bottom dollar, but they still have the 85K$ adjusted market value sticker in the window.
The only issue with the car is the tires are cracked pretty badly, and dried out from a year's worth of tire shine, and sitting in the Alabama sun. They won't replace the tires. I would be trading in a mint C5 z06, and a 2012 mustang gt with boss 302 suspension and brakes on it. The GT is my daily driver, so the Z28 would have to be my daily from now on. I love the LS7 and I love the cars nurburgring history. I know no one will ever build another big N/A V8. What would you guys do? For update check page 3 price is now 54k Last edited by Phoenix64; 10-29-2015 at 07:26 PM. |

Depends what they are giving you for the trades, if you are getting above market value for your trades I would say its a good deal.

Can you really Daily drive the Z28 though? I've been caught in the rain on 295/315 Toyo R888's and it wasn't a great experience. I can't imagine the Z28's stock tires are much better.

I asked the salesman to check and see if they're a warranty item, he said they're not covered. |

From the Chevrolet website concerning 2014 warranty coverage, can't see 2015 being much different...

There are cheaper ones out there,in the mid 50's. As for the tires they are not good in the rain.Get some michelin pilot SS tires and then it can be a good daily car to drive.

Here are the tires. The shoulder feels brittle where they kept it soaked with tire shine.

Those tires look like they have a whole lot more than 58 miles on them....Those actually look like heat cracks from overheating the tires(burnouts).

I'd pass on that car and dealer. Not sure I'd want a Z28 for a daily driver either. Call Becky D at Rodgers, she'll help you find what you are looking for. And they are a sponsor here and of the Camarofests. For a daily driver/track car, here would be my choices... A ZL1 or 1LE with Recaros, great daily drivers and very fun on the track. A Z28 will be a tick quicker on a road course if you're a 10/10th driver, but not a great DD. Or... if you like to tinker... get a 1LE 2SS/RS with Recaros. Put on one of those new Maggie Heartbeat superchargers, LTs, some of the Z28 suspension pieces.... Best of all worlds. Supercharged power, comfort of a loaded 2SS, Recaros and great handling... A Z28 that has lot rot would be my last choice. |

No. It doesn't seem new to me if it needs new tires. It could be new, but I'd shop around first.

I drive my z everyday. Drove it in the rain also. It did drive better in the ran than the 1LE with R888's that's for sure. It freaked me out when I hit a puddle of water and the water came through the hood vent lol. Once it's cold in switching to winter tires depending on the weather. I say have them switch tires and go from there

Those tires have been beat on......
The salespeople have been taking the car the lunch and doing burn outs. Have them replace the tires or walk away.
