Congrats on the record time... as for the lame PM from a member here... "I told you so" is not in order. There was never an issue of the 5th gen running this fast...

In fact follow the link...
http://ubb.mfba.org/showpost.php?p=584129&postcount=3

I did have valid reasons to question the previous run (given that I feel a K&N is a modification just as much as pulling a filter is)... if you disagree with me fine but that doesn't invalidate my stance.

Congrats once again on the record time and I'm glad to see someone checked the car out so there is no doubt it was stock. Nice work.

Great times!!! If you did that at BB I cant imagine what you might be able to do on a real track It is my home track as well for a 1/4 mile but Dallas does not prep that track like it should be and if he cared more about his racers than just putting the money in his pocket I would go a lot more than I do. Once again great track times and hopefully I will see you down there sometime.

Not sure what you are implying, but my record of the #1 bone stock run in the 1/8 mile has stood for 7 years as well, and my slip reads temp 167 and humidity 100. Are you saying that these should both be in question?

Uh yeah not so much.
Just because the temp and humidity were not set correctly does not disqualify the entire slip. If there were discrepancies in times/mph from beam to beam and the numbers didn’t add up, then yeah. Temp and humidity affect how the car runs, not how the track detects the car’s speed.
By your reasoning, if the date was incorrect then the whole slip is invalid.

No, by my reasoning if you can’t get the right measurements and you’re track is “certified” you are obviously spending money in the wrong places. It should make anyone question it. I understand why this is a touchy subject for you because then it would mean your car is not as fast as your slip says.

NHRAstocker made his run at Bowling Green Raceway. It's a track that NHRA holds Division races at year after year and is known to have killer conditions at certain times the year. Most serious racers have their own weather stations and don't care if the track weather reports are incorrect. Track Weather station reporting has nothing to do with the track timing system. Their two independent systems.

What you need to understand is NHRA stock racers know how to squeeze out every last .01 second out of a car. It's what they do, it's what they live for. They may even cheat in ways that most people are unable to detect, but I am not accusing anyone of cheating.
