Thanks for the input.
Im very curious as to what faster cars are you trying to run with? I have yet to find anything faster then my Z28 overall. The GT3rs is faster in the straights and the Z06 is faster on the straights but I have not been on the track with one that had a driver really pushing the car.

I don't think that will be a problem next weekend at RoadAmerica with the ZL1.

Yes, still love the Z/28 and someday I may do some engine mods to get to 675HP NA like I had in my FFR GTM LS7. The Z/28 is a fantastic car and I'm never going to let it go! For now it is an awesome DDriver. The ZL1 1LE is noticeably harsher on the street. No blood in my urine with the break-in miles, but I may have a couple of loose fillings.....

2010REDSS and I were in the same rungroup at Road America last weekend.
2010REDSS pulls me on the long 135-150 mph straights at RA. I also have the same issue with C7 Corvettes. I would assume to say that 2010REDSS and myself are very competitive when we're both driving our Z/28's at RA.(WOW what a blast!) My Z/28 needs a horsepower bump so over the winter I'll be doing so. By the way 2010REDSS is one of the best guys you could ever meet at a DE event. |

It has been a real pleasure getting to know you and spending time together between our sessions. Enjoy talking Camaros, trailers and car stuff - and chasing down other cars together! You drive the tires off that Z/28!! After you get that LS7 bumped up over the winter nobody is going to be able to keep up with you, me included! Let me know how that goes and stay in touch, I'll see if I can get some PDR video up of you and your car and send you the link. Take care!

I'm hoping you still have me slotted for your passenger seat for at least one session in the ZL1 1LE this year! Dennis if your passenger seat has openings I'd love to catch a ride along with you as well! I have to say you guys both are giving me "Z" Envy though attempting to keep up in my little ole 1LE Hope to see you both Oct 14-15.

Nick,
Not going to make to the upcoming MVP RA event as I'm done for the season. Lots of upgrades planned over the winter to get me through the winter! Next year I want to concentrate more on Road America,Mid-Ohio and Autobahn Country Club. Also throw in some Southern excursions while waiting for warm midwest weather... Nick you're always welcome to ride along with me. |

Ill keep my eye on the forum for your HP upgrade results! Sorry I wont get to see you at RA his Oct but I understand. There is only so much time available and somehow the rest of life always seems to get in the way of track time!

Me in my Z28 has not lost to a stock GT3rs and GT4's are easy. The GT3 Cup cars are very hard to keep up with. They pull in the straights. However, I can often close the gap in the corners. Comes down to how hard does the driver want to push the tires. Track layout will come into play. Tight with lots of turn the Z28 is better. Long fast straights and the GT3rs Cup will take it. I have yet to see anyone push a new Z06. The 3 or 4 I have been on the track with were taking it easy. I have a super charged C5. My z28 will take it by a mile in the corners. In the straights the C5 kills the Z28. Its 715hp so not very fair. A 2015 ZL1 is nothing on the track. They are not even close to my times. A 2017 SS 1LE with a 20 year instructor driving it is very close to me. Im afraid the 2017 ZL1 1LE will be noticeable faster. I know it would be with that instructor driving it. Since buying the Z28 I have been in the top 3 cars at every event we have done. I am not an instructor but have been asked to be. I have been told I am very skilled and a very fast driver even when in a C4 Corvette.
