Zl1 1LE Nürburgring Chassis Settings

Being a Camaro owner form the original Gen I F-Body Cars I would like to applaud the Design and Engineering Team for all their Blood Sweat and Tears that paid off in the form of the Gen6 and the 2018 ZL1 1LE, Bravo!

Some of us purchased the new ZL1 1LE exclusively to use every available ounce of performance for Track use. I know that the factory car's stasis and chassis settings at the time of delivery more than likely differed from the settings and adjustments made to the ZL1 1LE that achieved the record setting Nürburgring Lap.

Can you please enlighten your fellow ZL1 1LE Enthusiasts, Drivers and Mechanics on what final adjustments and setting were made to the car to achieve the Nürburgring Lap.

Thank you for taking time to help in the pursuit of performance.

Respectfully,

Mr. P/H

Great Question.

I'd also like to add to that a request for what that particular test mule weighed since it had a roll cage of some type in it I believe as well as a race seat and harnesses. Also we don't know how much data logging equipment may have been in the the car for them to collect data with. So the weight of that test car is likely to have been heavier than the production car.

It is, and I would also like to know if the previous run with the 5th gen ZL1 made them realize they needed a race seat and rollbar -- and if they ever ran the 5th Gen ZL1 with that setup...

No problem, Pin.

I think some people think you're looking for really little things like intentional asymmetries in the alignment specs developed specifically for the 'Ring, when "ballpark" numbers would be good enough starting points for HPDE or even TT.

On the other hand, knowing more about the sta-bars and their settings and whether the spring rates and shock/strut valvings were different from OE would be more useful even if no exact numbers can be provided.
