After Sundays cruise head to Dragons Tail
Dragon Pitt Inn Sunday- end Mondays cruise at the Dillard House for dinner
Nashville - have tickets for the Opry on the 18th.
Memphis - gotta do graceland being so close

If anyone has suggestions of other "must see" locations feel free to chime in. Thinking I will make St. Louis a stop since I have not been there either.

Anyone coming from the Northeast and planning to go through Louisville but want to avoid that spaghetti junction may consider a couple alternate routes. You can either take US127 south from I71 past Frankfort and hook up with the Bluegrass Parkway westbound. The BG is mostly empty and toll free. Probably about 40 miles of 2 lane and 4 lanes after you clear Frankfort. About 15 miles from Frankfort to the BG. The BG will put you on I65 just south of Elizabethtown.

Other route to avoid downtown Louisvile is I265 off I71. Will put you on I65 north of E-Town.

I65 through Louisville is a nightmare. Avoid of you can.

For those coming down I65 the Gene Snyder I265 spans the Ohio river now. It's a toll bridge though. I've been over it 4 times now in the last 2 months and haven't got a bill yet. $4.00 for a single car is what the sign shows. Onstar navigation will have you flying where there's no roads. At least it will if you haven't the latest updates, which I don't.

I won't be able to get there this year, but I have been to Bowling Green and there are tons of things to do there if you want to spend a few more days.

I know 6 members including myself are traveling from the Chicagoland area . About 8 hours for us.

Let me be the first to say, I hope all of you travel SAFE, take your time, we will enjoy your company much more knowing everyone gets there safe and sound and no need for any tickets to spoil your trip and weekend !

Rolling in from Indy but will probably take a back/scenic route to avoid Louisville on a weekday/traffic/construction/etc. Probably head straight south and come in from Owensboro, KY. I'm not in a hurry and it's just me and the wife. That way is about 4 hrs. (about 15 min longer than via I-65 south)

So coming from the north you would suggest going I265 east and get back on I65 on the south side of town?
