I Can Breathe Easy Now! - Thanks Maureen!
Called Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet on Wednesday afternoon. I needed a Z-28 CAI as soon as possible. UPS knocked on the door this morning! Not only did she send the Z/28 CAI, she included four hats, a bunch of microfiber towels, key chains, a carry all, etc... wow..
Best. Service. And. Prices. EVER!!! Period. If you need any GM parts, Maureen is the only game in town! There are none better. Thanks Maureen! You genuinely are the BEST! Here it is, all installed and ready. Going to test it in the 1/4 tonight!

Looks great. How much did it run you?
I'm considering going this route or getting a Vavaram to replace my K&N CAI. |

Thanks! I don't want to post prices. I got a great deal from Maureen. Just call her and get a price. She'll treat you right. I previously had a Volant with a PowerCore paper filter. It was an excellent CAI, very well made and a fantastic filter. In my opinion, the Volant is the nicest CAI out there for street use because that is the best filter you can buy. But I've been going to the strip and I'm due for a headers install/dyno tune this coming week. I just wanted to make sure I had the best possible CAI, performance-wise before I get tuned on the dyno. I'll find out tonight if there is any difference between the two on the strip.

Both Maureen and Becky are the bomb! They go out of their way for you on a consistent basis. I much prefer shopping where "my friends" work. Hey OP, you did remember to take off that blue plug at the end of the intake tube...right?

Mine was red..lol.. and it did occur to me, "Hey, I bet this would be easy to miss..".. I could see myself posting "Help, I got a new CAI and my car seems a little sluggish!"...

Let's go Rangers!

Honestly I'd be shocked if you noticed much if any difference going from a Volant to this. You certainly won't in daily driving.

I agree with you. This way, I'll know for sure. I just decided to go a different route with the car. I'm OCD about having the best stuff I can get and doing things right. From what I read, the Volant is the best for daily driving. Great filtering. I read everything I could find and the Z-28 CAI is the best for performance. If I weren't getting tuned, I'd have kept the Volant. We'll see tonight.
