Shift Points
Just wondering what's good points to shift in Sport mode? I have stock A6 gears and obviously an A6. My car is already tuned. Should it matter? I know they changed the shift points with the tune. I'm talking about just cruising around town. Not driving hard. Crsuing at 55 in 5th gear I'm right below 2,000rpms or should I be cruising at 55 in 4th? I'm not knowledgable much at all in this category. Shoot, y'all can even include drag racing shift points too if y'all want.

My car tells me to shift into 4th gear at 19 mph.
I wouldn't recommend it.

As long as you're not lugging the engine you're ok OP.

Not an A6 here, but I thought I should share a relevant point up there with Comrando. When cruising and over all, mostly Mondays (lol), I'm going from 2nd, to 3rd at around 10mph, to 4th at around 20mph, to 5th at around 30mph, to 6th at around 43mph and I'm keeping up with traffic around me easily. In 5th at 55mph I've got enough power in me to scare most people around me...

I had it in sport mode and was controlling the shifts myself. That's why it didn't go to 6th at 55. My tires are bigger in the rear than on that chart. Not sure if that matters. 305/35/20.

What I'm wanting to know is at which point should I shift gears when I'm just cruising. Or what gear should I be in at what speed. Like what's the max RPM your car should get to before shifting if you're just cruising? Is 55 at 2,500rpm's in 4th okay or what?

Lol cruise at 2500 if you want 9mpg. I usually cruise at around 1,300. You can shift right before 2000 for every shift. I have manual so idk how that changes with auto gears
