They are just buying the BMW and "hybrid" badges. Style and looks don't mean anything to them. It's a political statement and wanting to be on the "bleeding edge" of what they consider "important" trends.

It's gotta be the right color. I8's are pretty awesome looking rides, but in a silver paint not so much.

I think it was built kind of like a WWI airplane, a cloth like material stretched over a wire frame.

Now for me I do like the styling of BMWs, but don't agree with their lack of v8 engines.
