Help with the blind spots
I know there is blind spot detection available on the 2lt, but I ordered a 1lt with the technology package, does anyone know if it comes with blind spot detection or what I can do to help with the blind spots.

Having the electronic doo-dads (blind spot alert, etc.) helps alot, but should not be relied upon 100%. |

I hardly ever look over my shoulder to see if there's a car next to me, I always really on the side mirror. That's your best tool, I have mine the way I want and never had a problem changing lanes.

Convenience And Lighting Package: $2,800 option on 2LT: Memory Package Wireless charging for devices Heated steering wheel Multicolor Driver Information Center Head-Up Display Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert Outside, heated, power-adjustable and driver-side auto-dimming, body-color mirrors Interior spectrum lighting Illuminated sill plates and aluminum accents on door trim and shifter cap To get the safety features, you are forced to get the Pink Floyd Interior Spectrum Light show. Just go to Chevrolet's build it web site and choose to compare trim levels.

Most people adjust their side mirrors so that they point in too much, and half the mirror is filled with the side of their car, leaving a big blind spot as a consequence. The SAE recommends the side mirrors to be adjusted out to the point that they just overlap what you can see with the review mirror.
My Honda Accord Coupe has terrible over-the-shoulder visibility, so I only rely on the side mirrors, with the recommended SAE adjustment. Plus, I added small, adjustable convex mirrors to the lower corners of the side mirrors. I'm very comfortable maneuvering in dense traffic at high speed. Nigel |

I feel like blind spot issues are exaggerated. Being aware of your surroundings and looking at the rearview every few seconds to see any cars coming up behind you on the lanes next to you should be enough.

Just drive faster than the rest of the cars on the road, no problems with blind spots. LT1 was GM's solution to visibility issues

On my 5th gen I have carefully adjusted the mirrors to minimize the blind spots. As many others have indicated, that would be to turn the mirrors out a bit. Don't attempt to see the sides of the car in the side mirrors. You can calibrate by making sure the side mirrors start right where the rear view mirror leaves off.
