Dual Exhaust question from a newbie.
Hello I'm new here. I'm in the process of getting a Hotwheels edition camaro. I want a 2ss with the quad exhaust already installed, however, I've found hotwheel editions that are closer to me but only have the standard exhaust. So, here is my question. Can I get the standard hotwheels edition camaro and then have the dealer order/install the quad exhaust? Is it too expensive to do? Should I just keep searching for a quad exhaust hotwheels camaro? Thank you.
P.S. I want the factory oem quad exhaust not after market. |

Lol u can do it yourself aftermarket for under $300 including labor. No you can't tell the dealer to change it unless you find one already stock.

Quad tips CANNOT be added to the stock exhaust. Because of the location and length and of the outlet pipe there is not room to add quad tips |

Yeah, I don't think you can just apply quad tips to the stock dual exhaust. Those big ol' garbage can mufflers won't allow it. You'll have to do a straight muffler delete and just add the tips. A muffler shop could do that for a couple hundred, I would think. Or get a new axle-back system from Flowmaster, Solo, etc. that will probably cost you five to seven hundred (uninstalled).
And you will need a new rear diffuser to accommodate the new tips: http://www.gen5diy.com/quad-rear-diffuser/ (another $500) All in all, that quad look will end up costing you $800 to $1,300 (or more)... depending on how you go about it. EDIT: Check this thread as well http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343362

No get the 1LE rear diffuser for $100 on Parts Taxi I think. It's easy to put on.
