Anyone do secondary cat delete on a 17+ ZL1?
Curious if anyone has done this on the newer zl1's. Will it cause a code to throw? Did it change the sound at all? Any issues with drone? I see Borla makes an x pipe that I believe will eliminate the secondary cats. Thanks for any info.

I am patiently waiting for my buddy to have time to make a X for me that does this. I'll post pics/vids in the coming weeks.

I did remove secondary cats. The secondary cats are not monitored with oxygen sensor and should not throw a code.

Yeah, I'm debating whether or not to eliminate them. Car is under warranty and I don't know how the dealership would react to them being gone. Or even notice.

Any power to be gained by removing them?

Well considering it is a federal offense and all...I don't think they'll take too kindly to it. I took my Camaro SS in for service a year ago when I still had it. But it wasn't warranty work. I was paying out of my pocket. And my car had LTs and no cats, lol!! So they didn't say anything to me. If it was still within warranty period then I'm sure they would have said something. As with any mod, if you have to go in for service, then just put the stock parts back on. Don't take a chance.
