Tour, Sport button

I have a 2012 2SS/RS and I have read that the year after mine they came with a mode selector switch that would let you change the driving stile from tour, sport modes. My question is that did it come on a later module was there changes made to the ECM, BCM ect. if there wasn't would the switch work in mine?

I have a 2013 2SS/RS and all I have is the standard Stabiltrak and traction control. The ZL1 probably has touring and sport with the magnetic ride control but I don't know for a fact. They can be disabled by holding the button down for 7 seconds and will turn back on with one push of the button.

You are correct...The TC button also opens up PTM's (performance traction modes 5 total) in the DIC...I don't not believe that the OP's car has magnetic ride control...

The button your are referring to is in the ZL1. Those cars have magnetic ride as said above, so their suspension can be adjusted. The SS suspension can not, so we only have one button which controls stabilitrak and traction control. Pressing once will lower traction control, twice quickly will turn on stabilitrak competitive mode which lowers stabilitrac and holding for 7 seconds turns both off completely. This is just my understanding, so take it with a grain of salt
