They are the ones that leaked the C7 renderings.

Things were already off to a rocky start before I even set foot in the Austin airport. Some at GM were pretty angry at Jalopnik for publishing an internal GM memo containing the Camaro’s specs on Friday, a day before its official unveiling, after the photos leaked on CNBC.

While it may be his job to get the big stories, it's also his privilege to be able to attend a private event like that. He's lucky they let him in in the first place. Then he wrecks their car and is surprised when they ask him to leave? C'mon man.
What video did you watch? All he said was that they asked him to leave, he stated a fact he never said or did anything to try and make GM look bad. He even said that it was his fault and he would not be surprised if they did not let him drive a production model.

He oughta be flipping burgers in no time.
If you watch the Fast Lane Cars video review you will see he is pushing it pretty hard too. In fact several corners I saw a light flash in the cluster, not sure if it was the Traction or stability control light, but it was something.
I think this guy just ran out of talent...

He was too busy talking instead of paying attention to what he was doing.... He exceeded his talent.

I could understand wrecking the car if he was out there by himself, but he was following a bunch of cars.

Dude seemed genuinely remorseful after crashing the car and was complimenting the car and hoping GM would be forgiving. Sucky situation

Also bear in mind his position among those driving the mules. He said he was something like 2nd from the z/28 that was acting as a pace car. That means he was one of the first to come up to the wall on the first lap. The other drivers got the benefit of a radio warning after he fouled up. You can also hear the same radio announcement on the Fast Lane Cars video. Lol.

I don't think they should have outright asked him to leave the event entirely. If GM wants to be mad at anyone, be mad at whatever internal source leaked the details of the C7 design and the Camaro 6's spec sheet. It's not as if Jalopnik infiltrated GM. Somebody internal dropped them a big lead.

Uum, yeah. I was thinking the same thing. If he feels free boozes is worth mentioning, he probably helped himself to quite a bit. I think I would have left booze completely out of the article after crashing a car.
