So now sponsors can fill the general discussion with there Ads?

Yea I hear you. I usually post in them talking shit about how they should stay in their own section, but haven’t yet this time. Maybe we should start talking politics in those threads to get some attention drawn to them

Hmmm I thought they've always been allowed to make posts about new items in General, they just aren't allowed to post pricing information.

It seems to be one vendor (under 2 names) doing the majority of the ad posting. Not fair to the other vendors that play by the rules. Maybe time to "report" these threads using the little triangle, request they get moved to the proper section. Sponsors Classifieds Marketplace is where these belong.

There is a pinned post that says post in the appropriate forums, Accually its a threat, Wouldnt that be for everyone? Or because he is a sponsor rules dont apply?

Still pretty sure part of the sponsor rules say they can post in general but can't post prices, or at least it has been for the past 14 years since I've been on here. And seeing as how the ads currently on the front page are old posts that other people have recently commented on, they were allowed to then. Rules for sponsors are far more strictly enforced then they are for the rest of us. I've seen more than a few vendors get banned and lose the money they pay to the site because they simply didn't follow a simple rule so don't think they receive special treatment.

No, sponsors may not post commercial posts outside of the classifieds areas. If you see, it report it.
