Looks like that info from Steve Saleen I posted months ago turned out to be fairly accurate after all! Man I can't wait for this car to come out!

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot actually known about the production plans for the Camaro other than it is coming back, it will be priced competitively with the Mustang, and it will look very close to the concept. Other than that, everything is speculation. It is difficult to even give you what we believe to be a rough estimate as "a plain old hard top" is very vague. Do you mean a hard top with the V-8? If so which V-8 as it is highly suspected that there will be more than one offering. I highly recommend taking a look around the site and scrolling through some of the threads. You will find a lot of information and discussion about this very topic. |

they have to have at least 2 V8 models maybe more.
Pretty much like ford they have a "deluxe" base model and "premium" more enhanced model basically all the niceties of stereos and stuff |

I would also highly recommend taking some time to sit down and read through all the different threads. You will find information relating to all these topics. Also, it will speed up the process by using the search function found at the top of the page.
Welcome to the site and I'm sure you will enjoy your time here! |

The odds of it having the LS2 are pretty slim. GM will be releasing the LS3 (most likely this month), which will replace the LS2. Many sources have said that the LS3 will be a likely candidate in the Camaro and they may also offer a less potent V8 such as the 6.0 L98. But the LS2 is dead after this year.

I would like to have a RS/SS with a LS3 hardtop with a LS3 with 430hp pretty much fully loaded for around 35k. In my opinion i could care less if they bring the Z back, but hey that's me.

I think the Z/28 should be the top dog. Chevy already has a bunch of different models with the "SS" moniker. They are all also in the 300+ HP range. If the top dog camaro is going to be 420+ HP, then it needs something distinct from the group. "Z/28" is more distinct than "SS". Lastly, it would complete the true retro theme they have going. Whenever I ask my father about fast camaros from back ( I am 30 ) in the day, the 1st thing that he says is Z/28.
