Best wax to use ? Zaino vs?

In the past, I used the Zaino car wax system to wax my C5 and have a C7 on order. The C5 looked awesome after using this system and it called for several layers of the wax to be applied. Whereas I will be sure to enjoy and drive this C7 a lot, I am meticulous when it comes to making sure the car looks great. I was wondering what wax others use and how it worked out.

Thanks for your input and enjoy your C7!

There are many high quality products out there... and I'm sure some of the more detailing-oriented seasoned experts will chime in with their personal experience in regards to the use of wax or sealants, etc, etc... I have used both and happy with the results. As for wax, I currently use Blackfire's Midnight Sun but have also used quality products from Adam's and Meguiar's. I also want to try Griot's sooner or later as I have heard good feedback on some of their detailing products. Bottom line is keep your C7 well maintained and enjoy it as much as posssible.

I don't use a wax as the durability and ability to shed dirt is limited.

Zaino is a great product but there are better and newer ones these days.

My 2 favourite products are 22PLE and CQuartz UK edition... both are nano coatings. CQuartz UK is the easiest to apply (easier than Zaino or any other sealant I have used and I have used about 15). It lasts for up to 2 years, it sheds dirt like crazy and looks great.

Keep in mind the "look" is not from the wax/sealant. Well, let me restate. 85% of the look is from the paint prep. A car that is clayed properly, polished properly (Zaino calls their products "polishes" but they are actually sealants) to remove defects and to bring out gloss and THEN sealed will look amazing. The sealant part plays the smallest role in the overall look... despite what some will claim That isn't to say it won't change the look of the car for the better but will only do so much without proper paint prep.

Listen to Gthal above...coatings are a real breakthrough.......but it's all about polish and prep. There is no "best wax"

CquartzUK on my car....like glass:

Adams was in Houston this past weekend with a display booth at a camarofest. They put on a seminar and I went along with my wife. She, who knows absolutely nothing hollers at me to come over and pay attention because she wants our car to look like this one. I guess proof is in what she saw. She naive as all get out but judged on what she saw that impressed her.

I agree with GTHAL...That 85& of the look is from the paint prep AND that claying will go a long way. I may try out the CQuartz UK. Thanks again.
