Just thought I'd clear up something here, the Corvette had the LS3 starting in '08, and is noticeably faster than the '05-'07, which feel noticeably faster than a stock SS. But I would (did) have a hard time with a C6 in a coupe, and definitely couldn't do an automatic.
Maybe just my bad luck, but a '06 coupe and a '08 vert both puked the water pump under 20k miles. Not a big deal though except that my '02 still had the original @98k miles.

Yeah I found a 2005 with only 50k miles in my price range. Its a manual and I hear they are pretty decent (high 12s 1/4 mile). They guy even has navigation installed. Red seats. Just not to sure. Do I jump on a vette or try to grab a 2011 camaro 2ss.

Drive them both, you will pick the camaro. The Vet, rattles, bangs, noisy and
no room, fast though. I always wanted a vet and I was disappointed when I test drove one. Bought a camaro, money not a issue, but the ride was.

Wow. What did you test drive a 1984 or something? I had 2 C5 and 2 C6 Vettes, 2 verts one coupe and one Z06 and they were all tight.

Im in the market for a new car. 2013 5.0 caught my attentions but id rather a chevy
If your going to drive this car a lot, no question, get the Camaro. WAY more comfortable to drive a lot. I am not so sure the 07 vette would beat the LS3 Camaro. Remember that that engine in the vette has 7 years of use on it. It is likely nothing remotely close to what it was when it was new. True the LS3 is also not new and may or may not be producing full power but its likely putting down much more power then the vette.

I'm in this camp. No Mustang. If you do plan on using the car for everyday life the two extra seats and slightly larger trunk will come in handy. I also agree that the LS3 is likely to be putting out more power than the vette, with the cheaper price to mod, you could very well make it quicker and keep the comfort.
