the tune could potentially void your powertrain warranty. and i dont know how to do all the work, thats why i pay someone else to do it

you know now that you say that, I remember talking to a guy at the chevy dealership and he was saying if I get it tuned to make sure to 'turn it off' when I come in if I need work on my car. he has a mustang (of all things) and said he has to do that from time to time.

Doesn't work. It's called "flashing" the ECM. They can still tell and will void your warranty . And no your tires and wheels don't void any warranties.

As Dznts said. They are the exact same as the paint on your car. Treat them as such. Clean them EVERY single wash. And before you out them on, since they are off the car and easily accessible wash them, and put your most durable protectant on there. If you have a sealant use that, if not use your favorite wax. This will make it much much easier to clean and maintain your wheels.

Edit: now that you have a wheel well to contend with that you didn't with your steelies, you will need actual wheel cleaning utensils.

Look at wheel whoolies. The large one. That thing is a godsend with these wheels. Also get a boars hair brush for the face of the wheel.

ah I see, I'll make sure they get a nice bath and wax them. I'm kinda toying with the idea of painting the brake calipers yellow.

That would be hard to match that yellow paint with high temperature caliper paint.

Here is mine painted red.

Lowes. It's a disposable painters tarp. $4.
Be very very careful. That plastic will scratch your car to death. Even as anal as I was I can still tell it caused a few scratches. It is beyond imperative that you wash and dry your car prior to putting it under the tarp.

Yes I love me some Wally World . Always boosts my self confidence going in there.
