I was meaning turning the engine block to a solid one and filling all areas that could crack with too much pressure. I spent a little time over at Vortex motorsports here in Tampa where they do a lot of WRX/STI's and after so much with those engines it's a really good idea to get them filled in to be able to handle it all.

Op said 400whp so I'd image 20ish psi on a pump gas tune
E85 and 25 to 30psi car is in a entire different league, well assuming he has a decent sized upgraded turbo on there like most upgrades I've seen |

I've only heard on filling blocks on full race track cars only. Most just forge internals and sleeve if needed for power needs. Maybe the suby guys are different

Or Vortex could just be doing more than truly necessary. They had a few of them in rotation the few times I was in there checking on my buddys car getting done. I will at least say it wasnt uncommon for them to offer it but it probably didnt NEED to be done on most. You know some people just have money to blow on things like that when a shop tells them what they are capable of

He has sleeves, Manley rods and cp pistons, studs, heads and bc 272 cams. And it wasn't a 20g, it was an hks gt2 and I think he said 22lbs. Also said he had 1000cc injectors. No doubt it was quick, just needed a driver mod.

Did he brake boost? Lower MPH is better for you of course due to your massive TQ advantage. My buddy has a 500+whp E46 M3 but they make like no TQ. I just have an intake and from a dig or low roll I crack his ass through the 1/4. High roll though like 60-70 and up I get walked.

He made 397 wheel torque and he was not brake boosting, definitely needed a driver mod like I said earlier. I pulled hard at my 3-4 powershift

I'm surprised you didnt beat him even more on 'his race'. 400rwhp is not enough to get over a cammed LS3 Camaro. You seem to know how to drive! How hard is the powershifting on the parts with that power level you have? You must have an upgraded MC I guess?

Go through his channel and see the other ones, he said he was missing all these gears and my buddy that rode in his car said he never missed one. The low rolls, he got destroyed and the high speed one he was closer. But I let off and was on the brakes as you could see there was a car in my lane |

I have a zl1 rear and it takes everything I throw at it. But the limiter type was changed in the tune so I could bounce off the limiter vs the throttle closing to 30%

Exactly how I pictured it. Wasn't even fair for that wrx. Yeah he does need some driving work but that car had no chance. Wayyy too much shifting needed for him.
