Prototype Billet Intake Manifold Updates

Nearing completion.

Plenum test fitting was a success. Should have the billet tb flange made within the next 1-2 weeks. Possibly looking at dyno by mid month.

Wife gave the approval for starting my turbo kit at the end of next month when we come back from a family trip to Cali. Will be using a S475 or if funds are found a s480 billet.

I'll update in this thread from now on.

Let me know when your done. Love to have one if it makes good power. Reminds me of a Hogan Intake.

Dyno tests will be done soon.

I got a baseline of my car already several weeks ago. Recently I had done a exhaust on it, a single 4" aluminum. I will get a update dyno of that and then I will put the intake manifold on to get its improvements it made as well.

It looks really nice. The symmetry does great things for my OCD, but from an airflow perspective, it looks like its going to be pretty turbulent in there. Volumetrically I'm sure its superior, but not great for velocity. I'm interested because it looks beautiful.

That's a pretty piece. Be interesting to see what your design and idea presents through results.

You need a horn on the runners like the plastic manifolds have. That is a huge gain in flow. Or you can port a radius in there if you have enough material - that is what the guys with cast aluminum manifolds do.The difference between a corner and a radius can be 15-25% easy. You can find charts that tell you the optimum inlet radius based on cross sectional area too. Just a suggestion if you are going for top performance.

Don't worry bud I've been building intakes for quite some time.

The manifold has already changed quite a bit. There were some imperfections that I needed to work out. I'll post up some update pics tomorrow.

We are aiming for dynoing early next week so fingers crossed and which us luck

We're actually aiming for a very competitive price.

We are also already brainstorming at how we can make it cheaper to build so to lower the cost.

Next build will be a borg warner s475 single turbo kit.

Have the wastegate and oil pump ready to go. Just waiting to survive my vacation at the end of the month then I'll order the turbo and intercooler core

We'll be aiming to make it a bolt on 650-700 whp kit. Then between my intake and additional injectors (along with fuel controller) build a 1000 hp setup as well
