Installed the stainless cat delete pipes

First off...

The install process is a bit of a pain in the ass. It's more so removing the stock cats rather than installing the delete pipes. On each side there is one cat to manifold nut that due to residing right above the pipe is a bitch to get off. Mid length sockets and an impact gun are your friends. If you have a sparse collection of tools I would suggest taking it to a shop. The other problem area is the driver side post cat clamp. You have to pull the clamp away considerably for the two pipes to disengage from each other. Once all of the manifold side nuts are removed and the clamp is pulled back it is smooth sailing from there. Oh you will need to make sure the passenger side is disconnected or you won't get the driver side out. The exhaust needs to sag down enough to gain clearance for the flange to slide off the studs.

Sound...

For those of you that don't want to spend much money to make things louder this is the mod for you. With the NPP you can still drive around and talk if you desire. But when you get on it it is much louder. You will encounter some minor rasp in the midrange under certain scenarios but it's nothing you wouldn't get if you installed headers. No catless system is going to be 100% clean.

Rear O2s...

HPTuners made deleting these very simple. If you want to know what to change let me know. HPT allows you to change the O2 configuration from 4 to 2. You don't need to go to the DTC list and uncheck everything like you had to in the LS1 days.

Fitment...

Top notch! Everything fit perfectly.

Gripe...

For $300 they could throw in a couple of stainless O2 plugs. I had to get some from Summit. Pretty annoying.

One more thing. Do not try to remove anything when completely cold. Let the exhaust warm up for about 30-45 seconds. If you don't you will run the risk of screwing up O2 threads and/or manifold flange studs. Hit the nuts with PB Blaster also.

One more more thing... don't forget to get new gaskets from GM for the manifold flanges and one for the passenger side post cat flange.

My apologies if this is a very stupid question, but which company makes these? Are they the 6LE test pipes? I am also extremely interested in a sound clip when it gets on here.

Nvm, just saw the CA logo on the side. My bad.

Yup, these are the CA Performance pipes as sold by 6LE Designs. I am happy TSloper also got them, been sitting on mine as I don;t have my final car to put them on. Atleast they sent me the gaskets for free on mine as I pre-ordered and waiting a long as time to get them.

@TSloper you going to do any dyno runs with these?

Can't get by with that in Missouri. Although in our state you don't have to have it inspected for 5 year after its built.

Have you done any additional tuning with these pipes or seen significant changes in the logs?
