That's not true. GM is not lowering the price thru Employee/supplier discount. Dealers can lower the price, which will come out from their margin.
GM is not forcing dealers to sell it all at MSRP.

I wouldn't be surprised if this has something to do with the fact the 2015 are still being produced. My dealer has 6 2015 sitting on the lot still. If they discount the 16 the 15's will never sell without giving them away.

One of my local dealers has 9 2014 and 2015 cars sitting on the lot that aren't moving..nearly picked up a beautiful white 2SS but they went stupid on the price at the last minute.

This is an absolute idiotic move by GM. Demand for the 5th Gen was insane, and employee discount was available immediately on the 5th Gen. You start off by pissing off what should be your most loyal base of customers, your employees and their families.

Completely agree. If I'm waiting 10 months for GMO pricing, I'll just get a '17. I'm not one to just throw away $4k or so (that's what I saved when I bought my 01 SS) just because.

To everyone that says they paid X amount over dealer invoice, how sure are you that's the real imvoice? Do you think a dealership can order more cars and stay in business only making $500 profit? I've always been curious about this.

GM has updated the Vehicle Eligibility list as of Oct 29. The 2016 Camaro is still not available.

I get a discount for working at IBM, just curious, how much CAN you really save on these discounts and stuff? Lets say 2ss comes out to 42k MSRP. What would I be looking at savings wisE?

Depends on what Chevy wants to do to give supplier discounts and it all changes according to the vehicle. Some are 0 apr 72 mos, some are 3500 off, some 1500 off. Not to mention that it all depends on the REGION that you are in too.

Enter your zip to get an idea of whats going on. I have access to GM supplier discount as well as Ford but nothing for the 2016 camaro which sucks a bit. Shaving a grand off is shaving a grand off you know. At least I have $1500 worth of GM Card points... Would've been awesome if I had a supplier discount too

On my build that I have not ordered yet, 1SS, A8, NPP, 56W wheels, the difference between MSRP and employee discount price is over $2900.

Most GM Card points can not be added to Program Pricing Discounts. There are particular cards (extended family and/or business) that allow the two to be combined but the vast majority do not.
